Preservation of Human Conscience

Technology: an endless frontier. The year has become irrelevant, and technology is the driving lifeforce of all that moves around the planet, but even so, humankind has found a way to persevere. The atmosphere is unsustainable to organic lifeforms, but one group of scientists in Tokyo have created a technology that allows for the preservation of human consciousness beyond the grave.

They created a mechanical bio-suit they called New Life. It is, in essence, a mechanical replacement for the natural human body and is driven by the greatest computer ever developed: the human brain. New Life is effective at prolonging natural life, and preserving memories the person held in life. By installing into the New Life bio-suit, anyone can continue a somewhat normal life in spite of the obvious differences.

Just to be clear, I'd be terrified to see something like this happen. haha! One the one hand, it could help provide restoration to those with failing bodies in whatever of the various ways that happens, or allow people to continue life with their loved ones, but it could also be very dangerous in a plethora of ways. I never want to see this happen. Just seems like an interesting sci-fi concept to me.

Hopefully you enjoy this piece. I had a lot of fun creating her. I'll probably try to finish her out the way I had originally intended at some point, but she's done for now.

Cheers!
