N’Kati - The Lion (designed by Dan Holland)

This guy! Wow. He was such a crazy amazing design to work on. He was the first one I started working on when I started at Marvel, and I probably finished some 3-4 characters in the time it took to finalize this one. He was an absolute privilege to develop.
I am beyond excited to finally be able to share with you the work I did as part of my time working with my amazing team at Marvel on the amazing show, Eyes of Wakanda!

A big part of my role as character lead on the show was to establish the aesthetic standard for the characters to match the excellent concepts our art team did, and to ensure that our model topology was clean and efficient. I got to work closely with the fantastic Joshua James Shaw to really nail the final deliveries. I learned a lot from him and the other artists I got to collaborate with on this project.

A massive thanks to my friends Todd Harris and Josh Shaw for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to work in the capacity as a lead to help shape the character transition from 2D to 3D. It was a tremendous privilege and an honor. A huge thanks to my teammates for your support, and the concept team for the constant inspiration. And a big thanks to the artists at Axis who supported further production prep.
