The Guardian of the Sands was created at a time of crisis when the gods were at war, and mother earth knew that she must act out of desperation to protect the spirits of the earth or all would be lost. The Guardian of the Sands keeps a protective watch over the Earth Spirits, each of which is embodied in the grains of fine sand of the desert.
